The cost for tuition is based on a full dance year, which includes the months of August through April, including the month of December. Tuition covers ONLY the classes that are scheduled to meet through the dance year, holidays are not included in the “class count”, therefore there are no “make up” classes for holidays-you are not charged for holidays. Your tuition also includes extra classes for rehearsals for the year end recital. For your convenience, we have created a fee schedule that allows for monthly payments, semester payments or yearly payments for dance tuition. The price per class is multiplied by the number of classes you are scheduled to have in a dance year. This is your yearly payment. The yearly payment amount is divided into two equal payments for those who would like to pay by semester and it is divided into 9 equal payments for those who choose to pay monthly. If you choose to pay one yearly or semester payments, it is due upon registration along with your registration fee. IF you choose to make monthly payments, DKSD must receive your payment each month by the 10th of the month. An email reminder will be sent that it is time to pay the monthly tuition. You can pick up your monthly statement at our information desk inside the studio. Tuition is not based on when classes start or how many classes are scheduled for any month. Each class is scheduled to attend 34 classes and rehearsals between August and April. A 21 % late fee will be assessed on all unpaid accounts after the 10th day of each month. Reminders are sent as a convenience for you. You are responsible for payment each month, plus late fees after the 10th day of the month, regardless of whether or not you remember to pick up your bill at our office. Payments may be brought to the studio and placed in the purple mail box or they may be mailed to: DKSD PO Box 2338 Oxford, Ms. 38655 DKSD cannot allow students to continue in class if fees are not kept current. All late fees will be strictly enforced and students will be dismissed from class and removed from the role if a payment is more than 30 days late. All fees unpaid after 60 days are turned over to a collections agency at the customer’s expense. In addition to a 21% late fee, a $5.00 handling fee will be added to all past due accounts. There is a $35.00 charge on all returned checks. This policy will be strictly enforced! Our year end recital is optional. Everyone will be billed a $35 costume deposit in October and $35 costume balance in November for recital costumes. A recital fee of $75 for those participating int the older/advanced recital and $60 for those participating in the younger/beginner recital will be charged to your January bill. If you do not plan to participate in recital, please inform our office when you receive your bill and the costume charges will be removed from your bill. Costumes are not ordered for anyone who has not paid their costume charges. There are 30 classes and 4 rehearsals. This makes a total of 34 instructional periods for the year. Regular weekly classes will begin August 16. NEW THIS YEAR: DKSD usually closes for the month of December, but we will hold regular classes through December 14 this year. There are NO REFUNDS on registration fees, recital fees, costume orders or class fees. No exceptions. Once you have made a costume deposit, you are committing to purchase the costume whether your child completes the year of instruction and participates in recital or not. There will be a cancellation period of 30days after you make your first payment. After that time you will be responsible for the full amount.
