  1. Any time Oxford City Schools are closed for bad weather, there will be no dance class that day.  We will make every effort to get an announcement on the local radio stations (93.7) of any closings. Classes missed due to bad weather will not be re-scheduled unless more than 2 have been missed.

  2. Please be encouraging to your young dancer-practice at home, your encouragement and praise works wonders.

  3. Our time is limited and we want to give every minute of class time to your children.  Please do not come into a class to talk to the teacher while it is in session. NEVER open a classroom door and let yourself in during a class. You may leave a message at the front desk, in the purple mail box. Our voice mail is checked each week day and an attempt to return all calls is made each day. Email communication is much most efficient.

  4. The director reserves the right to dismiss any student for disciplinary reasons. Disruptive behavior is distracting for all students, participants in a class will be expected to maintain the discipline and rules of the class.

  5. Attendance is very important.  When your child misses class, he/she not only gets behind; the absence creates difficulty for the other class members and the teacher. You are paying for each class. Please reserve absence for illness or family emergency. There are no refunds for any reason for missed classes.

  6. If you miss a class you may arrange for a make up class with our front desk. The make up class must be done within 4 weeks of the class missed. If we miss a class, we will schedule a make up class

  7. Please put your ideas or suggestions in our suggestion box. We have many years of experience and some suggestions might have already been tried. WE ask your understanding if a suggestion is not immediately initiated.

  8. Group classes must have at least 5 students enrolled. Smaller classes will be charged semi-private fees or discontinued.

  9. If you decide to discontinue your classes, it is your responsibility to inform our office and fill out a drop class notice. You will continue to be charged until our office is notified to take you off the roll.

  10. All students will have a required color and style of dancewear for class. Each class will have a special name as a means for identifying classes when scheduling rehearsals or other events. Students are required to wear their class leotard to each class and bring all required shoes. The last week of each month, students in tap, jazz, hop hop or early grade combo classes will be allowed to wear the dancewear of their choice. This will not allow street clothes but will allow students to wear their personal favorite leotard, dance pants or dance top. Requirement of group leotards will reduce the incidence of students not being properly dressed for class. It also allows our studio to better identify each age group and class. Ballet classes must always wear black leotards, pink tights and on the last week of each month may wear a ballet skirt or dance shorts over their black and pink but may not wear a different style or color leotard and tights.
