DKSD requires specific color and style of dance shoes and dancewear for all classes. These are a specific brand and color and must be ordered through DKSD. We feel a more uniform look for all classes creates a better learning environment. When all students are dressed alike, teachers can more easily identify imperfections in technique. Fittings are held in August and February. You may wear shoes that you already have for class, until they are outgrown. NO ONE will be allowed to participate in performances or recitals unless they are wearing the required class shoes. We will not be ordering frequently so be sure to get fitted before your shoes are too small. Required Dancewear and Shoes
Tap/Jazz/Combo: *-all students will wear pink ballet shoes. Hip Hop: Tumbling: Cheerleading: Dance Team: NO STREET CLOTHES, JEANS OR BAGGIE SHIRTS WILL BE ALLOWED, Students must be properly dressed to attend class. *Class age groups are identified by the age of the majority of the students in each class.
